Perri Jones and Team Andrew from Quail Creek held the banner and led the 2022 Out of the Darkness Community Walk for Southern Arizona at Reid Park in Tucson on Oct. 8. The annual event is put on by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). This year 600 walkers participated.
Perri was recognized as the top fundraiser and Team Andrew as the top fundraising team with $3,635.
Events like this one are held across the country to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health issues. AFSP offers support for those who struggle and for those who have lost a loved one. The efforts of Team Andrew and all who attended are inspired by the message of “saving lives and bringing hope.”
