One hundred thirty-eight ladies participated in our Give Back to the Community golf event, raising and contributing more than $11,000 to the Angel Heart Pajama Project, Hand of a Friend, Valley Assistance Services, and Friends in Deed charities. Our 21 Lady Putters had some fun and challenging holes using plastic children’s clubs and putting with potatoes!
The lowest scoring team was Jill Eisele, Nancy McDaniels, Hope Goelz, and Marcie Yenerich. The highest scoring team winners for a different challenge were Pam Codd, Cathy Leary, Randi Kauppi, and Shari Cerrone. Most holes-in-one putted was by Diane Gordon with five! Forty-nine 9-Hole Ladies had two closest to the line challenges on RR5: Alyce Mancini winning and closest to the line on RR9, and Cheri Sipe winning. They also had a Queen of the Green putting competition, won by five ladies: Cherie Olson, Linda Roeller, Beth LaRose, Cheri Sipe, and Jan Topolski.
Sixty-eight 18-Hole Ladies had a 4-player team scramble where they all had to work together to get their team ball to the hole with the fewest number of strokes. This is always a favorite tournament event at Quail Creek, because we are able to reach out to our community and lend a helping hand.
