Come enjoy the arrival of spring with the Green Valley Gardeners Spring Celebration to be held April 4, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The celebration includes a self-guided tour of five private and unique gardens in our area. This year, three of the gardens are right here in Quail Creek. The gardens range in size, style, and types of plantings with something to please everyone – cactus and succulents, container gardening, colorful flowering perennials, artwork, rocks and minerals, musicians, and even a working model train. The plants will be labeled and there will be knowledgeable hosts present to answer your questions. Get inspiration for your own garden, learn about some different plants or just enjoy the beauty of the gardens.
Tickets are $12 and are on sale online at www.greenvalleygardeners.com and at the Chamber of Commerce, Desert Bloom Nursery, Nancy Pantz, Native Gardens Nursery, and The Happy Quail. On the day of the tour, you may buy tickets in the parking lot of the United Methodist Church, 300 W Esperanza, (Corner of La Canada and Esperanza) or at Desert Meadows Park 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Also visit the Art in the Park at Desert Meadows Park, 999 South La Huerta, Green Valley. This free event features art and plant vendors, a silent auction, food trucks, and music by the Sonoran Duo. This year, there will be a free shuttle from the United Methodist Church to Art in the Park at Desert Meadows Park.
