Several Quail Creek residents were at the Tucson International Airport on September 16 to welcome World War II veterans back from Washington, DC. As part of the Honors Flight program, the veterans got to go to Washington at no cost to see the World War II Memorial as well as several other monuments in the DC area. Quail Creek residents Richard Murphy and Drew Park served as guardians for the veterans.
The final Honor Flight of 2014 with 25 veterans on board will be from October 12 through 14. Four Quail Creek residents, Kay and Ray Robinson, Laurie Brown and Suzanne Parsons will serve as guardians.
The Quail Creek Community is invited to the Tucson International Airport at 1:50 p.m. on October 14 to welcome American Airlines Flight 1404 carrying World War II veterans back home from Washington, DC. This is a great opportunity to thank the forgotten generation for their service. Parking tickets will be validated at the American Airlines desk.
