The Quail Creek Photography Club will be providing a return visit of Joel Sartore for a new Art of Travel Photography video lecture series. The very positive reception of his Fundamentals series prompted the club to purchase this more specific set of lectures. The three evening program is open for all Quail Creek residents.
This course will enable the average photographer to get out of the rut of shooting subjects (people, buildings and landscapes), regardless of travel location. Since much of the presentation will center around appropriate adjustments to the camera (aperture, shutter speed, artificial lighting and ISO) the camera best for use will probably be a DSLR but those point-and-shoot camera users will benefit also.
Joel Sartore is a professional photographer and regular contributor to the National Geographic. His assignments have taken him to some of the most beautiful and challenging environments and have brought him face to face with a diversity of wildlife worldwide. He is also a regular contributor to the CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood television program. He has written three books that highlight his craft and his work.
The six lessons will be offered in three blocks running about 90 minutes over three Thursday evenings, November 6, 13 and 20. The presentations will meet in the Gold Room at Madera Clubhouse starting at 6:30 p.m. The PCQC maintains a comprehensive website at http://www.pcqc.org.
