The final three day event on the tournament schedule for the QCMGA is the four-ball Match Play Consolation Tree Event. This is a two-man team competition played on a match play basis with winners moving ahead on one side of the draw and losers in the first round on the other side of the draw.
There were three flights in play with eight teams in each flight. Only one team in each flight did not make any money.
The third and final day was played on the Quail/Coyote combination on September 5, 2017. The following teams prevailed as flight winners:
Bracket 1: Craig Parsons and Ralph Scafuri; Runner-up – Steve Buttrey and Bob Erickson. Bracket 2: Dave Erickson and Martin Wibbenhorst; Runner-up – Allen Mitro and Ron Turner. Bracket 3: Joel Otterson and Rick Sutton; Runner-up – Jim Lynch and Todd Smyth
