The Women of Quail Creek took their annual field trip March 29, this time venturing to Elgin, Arizona. Over 100 women descended upon Flying Leap Vineyards for a fun-filled day of lessons in wine and spirits making, lunch and facilities tours.

Flying Leap has recently begun to produce spirits such as vodka and grappa made from the grapes grown at their many southern Arizona vineyards. Tours, led by the vineyard owners and staff, helped the women understand the intricacies of producing spirits, a completely different process than wine making. The women were also treated to a tour of the barrel room and vineyards in Elgin where some of the most treasured of Flying Leaps grapes are grown.

Following the tours, everyone was treated to a delicious luncheon and wine pairings. Each woman had the opportunity to buy wines from Flying Leap and spice rubs from their other company, Arizona Rubs.
