TWOQC new members hosted a tea

Janice Pell

The Women of Quail Creek highly value their membership. In July the TWOQC board hosted the first ever New Members Tea for ladies that had joined the club between January and June of 2015. Since the club now has well over 300 members and continues to grow, it can be difficult for everyone to have a chance to get to know each other at general meetings. The tea, held at the home of membership chair Carol Mutter, gave new members the opportunity to meet other new members and get acquainted with their board members in a casual setting. Carol provided a delicious array of sweets, fruit and drinks in addition to tea. It was a very fun, enjoyable morning for all as the ladies chatted and mingled making new friends. Additional teas will be held at future dates.

Those that attended learned about the many projects, programs and opportunities to get involved that TWOQC offers its membership, such as the upcoming annual Clothing and Household Goods Drive for homeless veterans. Membership in the club is open to all Quail Creek women. The mission of the club is to provide a forum for Quail Creek women to participate in cultural, educational and recreational programs in a friendly atmosphere with an emphasis in supporting worthy causes that have particular interest to women within the local community and beyond. The club has monthly programs, three luncheons during the year and a field trip every March.
