The next meeting of the Quail Creek Cancer Support Group will be October 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gold Room of the Madera Clubhouse. The November 10, December 8 and January 12 meetings will also be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Gold Room. The meetings are for anyone who has been touched by cancer. The coordinators are Terrie O’Dierno and Ginny Hutcheson. The group is supported by the American Cancer Society. Terrie is the Road to Recovery Coordinator for rides to and from cancer treatment through the American Cancer Society. Starting January of 2015 the Quail Creek meetings will be held every other month on the second Monday of the month. January, March, May, July, September and November meetings will be held at the Madera Clubhouse. Participants who wish to attend a meeting on the even months may wish to attend the Sahuarita support group.
On the third Wednesday of every month from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. the Living With Hope Cancer Support Group meets at the Sonora Clubhouse at 600 W. Camino Rancheria in Sahuarita. The Sahuarita Support Group often has health related lectures. This group has continued to meet for a number of years under the direction of Jan MacLaren with the support of the Arizona Oncology Resource Services.
