In January of 2015 Quail Creek’s Creative Arts and Tech Center (CATC) opened its doors, welcoming our crafty and techie residents to their beautiful new workplace. Built and furnished by our developer, the CATC contains seven studios housing eleven different clubs representing: Computer Club, Woodworkers, Lapidary and Jewelry, Gourders, Scrappers and Stampers, Painters, Potters and Sculpture, Ceramics, Needleworks, Quilt Covey and Art Glass.

As our community was preparing for this year’s Discover Quail Creek (held on March 7), resident Carole Keane came forward with the idea of publicly thanking Mr. Robson with a photo of appreciative residents gathered in front of the CATC during the Discover QC event. Then she spearheaded the effort to make it happen! With support from Pat Thoresen (Activities Committee and president of the Photography Club), Dick Clarke (Food Committee) and clubs representing the CATC, a group of residents gathered at 11:00 a.m. at the March 7 Discover QC event to show their appreciation.

Resident photographer extraordinaire Ken Haley took the photo of a smiling crowd of residents with the banner “Thank you, Mr. Robson.” Ken made the photo available that same day and it was viewed by many still enjoying the Discover QC event. In the following weeks a local framer created the final product for us.

During the third week of May, POA Board member and Robson Communities, Inc., Senior Vice President of Operations, Jack Sarsam, presented the photo to Mr. Robson at the corporate offices in Phoenix. Jack reported that Mr. Robson was “very pleased” with the expression of thanks from our residents.

The POA Board thanks Carole Keane and other residents for their thoughtful efforts!
