Somewhere Over the Rainbow —There is a Cure Luncheon

Peggy McGee

Mark your calendars for January 31, 2014. That’s the day The Women of Quail Creek and the Quail Creek Fights Back Relay For Life team will host a Somewhere Over the Rainbow – There is a Cure luncheon and style show to help the American Cancer Society raise dollars to Finish Their Fight against all cancers. This event is open to all women who live in Quail Creek and their female guests. Quail Creek volunteers will model stylish outfits provided by Rose’s Fashions of Green Valley. Tickets at $25.00 per person will go on sale at 11:00 a.m. on December 9, just prior to the TWOQC holiday luncheon. Groups should purchase tickets together if they wish to sit together.

The Style Show/Luncheon Planning Committee is currently seeking both gift baskets and donations that will be raffled off at this event. Craft items would be especially appreciated. Please contact Peggy McGee at [email protected] or Ginny Hutcheson at [email protected] if you have items to donate.

The Green Valley/Sahuarita Relay For Life goal is to raise over $65,000 by August 31, 2014. The dollars raised by the teams will go towards cancer research, patient programs, education and advocacy. On March 29 the American Cancer Society teams will walk from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Anamax Park to celebrate more survivor birthdays.
