Roger Shipley won the Quail Creek Men’s Golf Association Championship fashioning scores of 69-64-65 over the three days of play for a total of 198. He barely beat out George Ratts 199 and Lee Cornelison 200. Shipley with an index of 19.2 was very consistent in the three days of play.
Other flight winners were Tim Toon 210 in the First Flight, Ted Simmons 204 in the Second Flight, Paul Athay 207 in the Third Flight, Lee Cornelison 200 in the Fourth Flight, Shipley in the Fifth Flight and John Landwehr 212 in the Sixth Flight.
This year’s President’s Cup had 77 players competing over three days for the honor of calling themselves President’s Cup Champion.
