The Green Valley Chapter Military Officers Association will be hosting a holiday luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Grill on the Green at Canoa Ranch in Green Valley. The event will begin with a social period at 11:30 a.m. with lunch being served at noon. Rumor has it that Santa will be there with some gifts for a few lucky attendees.
The Chapter is also trying to make the holidays a little brighter for the children of honorably discharged homeless female veterans being supported by Women Warriors, a Tucson-based 501(c)(3). Attendees are asked to consider bringing an unwrapped toy to the luncheon appropriate for boys ages 5, 7, and 13 and girls ages 6 months, 8, and 12. Monetary donations payable to MOAA S&MA Fund will also be appreciated. The MOAA elves will then shop to ensure that each child gets at least one gift.
