“Getting Holiday Ready” Ladies Night Out

JoAnn Haberer

Does just thinking about the holidays make your blood pressure spike? Are you tired of the same ol’, same ol’ when it comes to holiday decorating and entertaining? Would you love to see some new things, chat with old and new friends, enjoy a libation and maybe even delight in some pampering while you’re at it? If so, we’ve got the event for you!

On Monday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m. TWOQC will host “Getting Holiday Ready,” at the Madera Clubhouse Ballroom. Eight stations will be set up featuring hands-on demonstrations of holiday decorating, entertaining and dressing for holiday occasions. Want to take an outfit from ho-hum to ho-ho-ho? Then bring along a favorite scarf and learn new ways to accessorize with scarves. Want to make your gifts pop with fun wrapping techniques? Join us at the creative gift presentation and bow making stations. How about learning to make a new holiday cocktail or two? We’ll present a demo of great cocktail recipes from our own Chef Aris.

Bring along a bit of cash to enjoy our $5 wine and beer selections and then mix and mingle while you pick up some fabulous ideas for everything from setting a glorious Thanksgiving or Christmas table to decorating holiday cookies that no one can resist. When you’ve had enough of holiday prep, fill out a raffle ticket at the “Relaxation Stations” to win a mini-facial, chair massage or mini-makeover. It’s all about getting ideas, having fun and relaxing and socializing with other TWOQC members.

Tickets ($5 cash) will be sold at TWOQC programs in September and October and will also be available from Janice Messer at janicemesserrn@gmailcom. This is a members-only event, but if you become a 2019 TWOQC member now ($25/year) you are welcome to attend. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
