Yes, it’s true! The Utah Ballroom Dance Company is once again bringing its troupe of college dancers to Quail Creek! Our 2015 edition of Dancing with the Quail Creek Stars will be performed on Sunday, March 15 in the Madera Clubhouse Ballroom. This year you’ll be able to see four QC residents (Deb Huber, Janet Mathis, Judy Hayes and Jim Nichols) and a couple of staff members (Head Golf Pro Joel Jaress and Grill Manager Miguel Venegas) vie for the coveted mirror ball trophy.
The format of the performance is just like the TV show Dancing with the Stars! Each of our local stars will be paired with a member of the Utah Ballroom Dance Company to perform a ballroom or Latin dance number on the Madera Ballroom stage. Adding to the night’s entertainment will be our local dance experts Sherry Gall, Francesca Moses and Davey Jones who will score each dance and provide colorful commentary. You, as part of the audience, will have a chance to vote for your favorite and determine the night’s big winner.
After our Dancing with the QC Stars competition, you’ll be treated to a variety of show stopping numbers by our visiting young dancers. Prepare to be amazed; they are so talented, so athletic, so flexible!
Remember, these young dancers tour with the Utah Ballroom Dance Company to help finance their college educations.
