Thirty-six ladies from SaddleBrooke’s MountainView Lady Putters recently headed south to join 61 Quail Creek Lady Putters for a putting challenge. Each team had five ladies from both groups for the Daisies in the Desert challenge.

Wendy VanDyck, Kay Davison and Jan Agner from QC and Ruth Catalinotto and Karel Titone from MountainView made up the First Place Team with a composite score of 194. Each took home $10.

Two teams, with each team member receiving $5, were tied for second place with scores of 198: Mary Anderson, Cindy Hogg and Diane Wilson from Quail Creek and Bonnie Cook and Judy Falewicz from MountainView were on one team and Peggy Brown, Cathy Thiele and Patti Giannasi from QC and Martha Hackworth and Mary Thomas from MountainView on the other.

Achieving the lowest personal score from Quail Creek were Dee Waggoner and Diane Wilson, each with a 36. Maude Ruffin and Judy Machett from MountainView each had a low score of 37.

Four Holes-in-One made Julie Daines the winner in that category.

After a challenging day on the putting green, the ladies enjoyed Muffaletta sandwiches with potato salad and a fruit cobbler with ice cream and whipping cream in the Madera Ballroom.

Committee Chairs coordinating the entire event were Mary Anderson, Diane Dodd, Jan Agner, Kelly Hines and Deb Anderson.
