Computer Club plans for another busy season

Dianne Thomson

During the summer the Computer Club conducted significantly more open labs and classes than in past summers, keeping several instructors busy during the slow season.

But anticipating the return of many traveling residents, the club is planning for an even busier schedule in the coming months. Mac, PC/Windows 10 and iOS classes will continue to be offered to club members, as will many others. Monthly programs open to all residents will include topics like Google Photos, password management and a survey of classes.

But the biggest event being planned – the annual open house – has now been scheduled for Saturday, January 14, to kick off the new year in the Creative Arts and Technology Center. Last year’s event drew over 200 people who used the opportunity to renew membership, ask board members about the club and enter the drawing for really great door prizes. The 2017 open house will offer even more and better prizes, so now is a good time to mark your calendar for the big day so you won’t be left out! Specific times will be announced soon.
