Employees at Anza’s fitness center recently held their inaugural chili cook off contest in preparation for Quail Creek’s Community Chili Contest that will be held later this year.
Six employees made their favorite recipes and submitted them for judging by all of Anza’s employees. The chilis ranged from red to green, sausage to chicken, mild and spicy to hot and spicy and with and without beans. All were delicious and while it was difficult to determine one winner, ultimately, Tom Dean’s recipe won. Interestingly, he calls it “Tom’s Chili” and uses two secret ingredients. One of these is Sriracha Chili Sauce from Hong Kong and the other he won’t share.
