Last year saw record growth in membership in TWOQC and this month a new Executive Board was sworn in to oversee the many projects, events and committees of the club.
The Women of Quail Creek’s mission is “working together in our community we are making a difference” and, with that in mind, this year promises to be a busy one starting with the Fashion Show, “Under One Umbrella,” which is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Quail Creek Fights Back Relay for Life team.
In March, TWOQC will celebrate the club’s 15th anniversary with a glitzy Monte Carlo casino party, followed in April by the awarding of scholarships to Arizona women to pursue educational opportunities in academic, vocational and technical fields. In May the annual Military Baby Shower will provide baby clothing, diapers and gifts to thirty military families in our local Arizona National Guard unit, the 162nd Fighter Wing in Tucson. And in June club members will come together for a members’ luncheon to relax and enjoy a fun program put on by local talent.
And that’s just the first half of the year! From July to December, TWOQC members will continue to “make a difference in our community” with a Youth on Their Own school supplies drive and homeless veterans’ clothing drive, along with other educational and social events.
