The November TWOQC meeting program – The Best Hidden Treasures of Southern Arizona

Janice Pell

The Women of Quail Creek will meet November 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the ballroom. The program for the evening will be The Best Hidden Treasures of Southern Arizona, presented by Jim Gressinger. Jim is a travel writer and the publisher of Southern Arizona Guide, a website featuring recommendations for the best dining, lodging and things to do in Tucson and southern Arizona. He will share his favorite little known places to visit and fun events to attend. Even long-time residents may be surprised to find out they do not know about some of these special places and events. Additionally, he will talk about his adventures as a restaurant critic and recommend dining choices. Many people do not fully realize all that is involved in reviewing restaurants and, as Jim says, should find his approach “both unique and interesting.” It will be a good opportunity to discover new ideas of where to go and what to do when entertaining out-of-town guests.

Tickets for the December 14 TWOQC Holiday Luncheon will be for sale before the meeting at 5:30 p.m. Those wishing to sit together should purchase tickets at the same time. Tickets cost $18 per person.

TWOQC thermal totes will also be sold prior to the meeting. Totes cost $7 each or three for $20. Totes will also be sold at the December luncheon.

All members of TWOQC, guests and Quail Creek women interested in the group who have not previously attended a meeting are invited to attend. It is the perfect time to renew memberships. Dues are $25 for paid membership through December 2016.
