Several changes have taken place this year with the Quail Creek Tennis Club. There are new officers, new tournament champions, a new signup system for reserving courts and a new tournament format for next year.
Officers for the 2013-2014 year are President Denny Meyers, Vice President Randy Kimbrell, Secretary Patty Zatkin, Treasurer Jeanine Van Hoorn and Members at Large Jim Perry, Joyce Corn and Gary Jones.
2013 Club Champions are Seasoned Seniors Glenn Williamson and Walt Wyrick, Women’s Singles Jane Bottlinger, Men’s Singles Level 1 Bob Cook and Level 2 Dan Patterson, Women’s Doubles Level 1 Bev House and Cozette Smith and Level 2 Liz Burnham and Daryl Laux, Men’s Doubles Level 1 Denny Meyers and Dennis Yakovich, Level 2 Dan Flynn and Dave Kikel, Mixed Doubles Level 1 Cozette Smith and Denny Meyers, Level 2 Daryl Laux and Bob Cook and Level 3 Marge and Joe Knable.
Rick Dawes volunteered to organize the 2014 Tournament and we look forward to his committee’s recommendations for next year.
Gene Newman set up a new system for reserving courts for play. Those who have used it find it simple to use. See the instructions on the website for reservemycourt.com.
