Sunset trail ride and BBQ at Houston’s Ranch

Houston’s Ranch will host a sunset trail ride with BBQ New York steak dinner on three dates, Saturday, November 1, Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29.

Quail Creek joins with Houston Ranch every fall to offer a unique outdoor experience to our residents. This scenic two hour trail ride into the Sonoran Desert is for beginners and advanced riders alike. It is followed by a delicious BBQ steak dinner served around a campfire and under the stars. Dinner includes chips and homemade salsa, tossed salad, New York steak, southwest potatoes, cowboy beans, fresh rolls and homemade peach cobbler topped with ice cream. Beer, wine and prickly pear margaritas will be available for purchase. Each trail ride dinner is limited to 16 people. For those wanting to experience an authentic campfire dinner without the trail ride, they will now accommodate up to 20 more people for dinner only on each of the three dates (cost is $35). So if you want to ride and your spouse wants to kick back and relax, you’ll both be able to enjoy this awesome experience.

The cost is $90 per person payable by cash or check to Bobbi Houston. No credit cards will be accepted for this event. If you are out of town and want to reserve a spot, call the Concierge desk at 520-393-5822 to make your reservation and provide them with your check number to hold your spot, then mail your check to: Kate Smith at Quail Creek Country Club, 2055 E. Quail Crossing Boulevard, Green Valley, Arizona 85614. All sales are final; no refunds or exchanges.

Long pants, long sleeves and boots are recommended but short sleeves and tennis shoes are okay. You will need to provide your own transportation to Houston’s Ranch and arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. on the day of your ride. Houston’s is located at 12801 E. Speedway in Tucson. Directions: exit Quail Creek and turn right. Turn right on Old Nogales Highway. Turn right on Sahuarita Road. Stay on Sahuarita Road until you get to Houghton Road, then turn left. Turn right on Speedway for about three miles. Houston’s Ranch is on the left (north) side. The entrance sign is hard to see, so watch closely.
