The outgoing Board of Directors of the Quail Creek Ballroom Dance Club is excited to be announcing changes in membership regulations that will open up the membership to many who spend only a few months here in this community.

Annual membership dues cover the cost of the season of gourmet dinners and touring orchestras in the Madera Clubhouse Crystal Ballroom. Menus are planned by the Executive Chef of our Quail Creek Food and Beverage Services in conjunction with the Ballroom Dance Food and Beverage Chairman. These meals are themed and in the last two years have taken the members to restaurants around the world. The orchestras tour the Southwest during the winter months. It’s really the most special of events that are offered here in this active community.

The four dates for the 2014-15 season are December 10, 2014, with the Tom Patrick Band; January 21, 2015, with the Lonny Lynn Orchestra; February 18, 2015, with the Jan Garber Orchestra and March 11, 2015, with the Myron Sommerfeld Orchestra. Dining themes for this upcoming season will be planned over the summer months.

So how have the membership rules changed? There are now two levels of membership. The first is the traditional plan offering attendance at all four exciting events for the same $280 per couple dues (unchanged in nine years). The new second membership plan will offer attendance at three dinner/dance evenings for the sum of $225 per couple. With this plan you will be asked to designate the three evenings which you plan to attend. Membership Chairman Justine Lewis will provide full details of this plan or answer additional questions if you contact her at 520–399-4646 or [email protected].

Although this is a Quail Creek Club for residents, we are able to extend an invitation to guests to attend a dance and enjoy the special ambiance and music the evening provides. Guest couples pay $85 for their evening and are hosted by a member of this club.

If you aren’t already a club member, consider this dine and dance club as a wonderful addition to your social life here in Quail Creek.
