Linda Strader discusses Container Gardening in the desert.

With fall our thoughts turn to our gardens-—what to plant and how to care for it in our sometimes challenging Southwest desert climate. A great approach to creating a beautiful courtyard or patio is with container gardening. At the general meeting September 29 Registered Landscape Architect and Certified Arborist Linda Strader will teach TWOQC all about container gardening in a desert climate. Linda has 30 years of experience in desert gardening, plants and landscape design. She writes for several online magazines and newspapers and teaches classes in Green Valley on the care of desert plants. She will be giving out handouts; however, attendees may wish to take notes. The meeting will be held in the Madera Clubhouse Crystal Ballroom at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale before the meeting for the members only Tenth Anniversary Champagne Brunch to be held October 27 at 11:00 a.m. Cost to attend the brunch will be $10. Anyone wishing to attend must either be a current member or become one prior to purchasing a ticket. New membership sign-ups will begin at 5:45 p.m.
