Lee Asbell

Quail Creek resident James Asbell has recently published a book entitled Live Well With Terminal Illness and Other Crappy Diseases.

Fifteen months ago, Jim Asbell was diagnosed with incurable Stage IV colon cancer. This was not Jim’s first experience with nasty health issues. It all began with polio when he was just a baby and has continued with numerous challenges throughout his life. Over time Jim developed an attitude that allows him to enjoy life to its fullest, even while battling health problems. His message is exemplified by the quote “Life isn’t just about surviving the storm, it’s also about learning how to dance in the rain.”

Jim offers readers warm, witty, practical advice for anyone who struggles with serious health difficulties. His powerful life story helps readers understand the personal philosophical outlook that allows him to thrive despite incurable colon cancer and a lifelong fight with polio.

Jim’s book is available from Amazon in paperback or Kindle e-book format. Part of the proceeds is donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Check out Jim’s blog at www.jamesasbell.wordpress.com as he documents his ongoing cancer treatment. He is also available as a speaker to personally share his story with groups. Contact Jim Asbell via email at [email protected].
