QCVGA kickstarts Military Families Baby Shower

JoAnn Haberer and Tom Haberer

In January, the QC Veterans Golf Association presented The Women of Quail Creek with a generous $500 donation to kick off fundraising for the annual Military Families Baby Shower. The Baby Shower will be held on May 19 at the National Guard 162nd Air Wing and will provide parents of new babies with much-appreciated baby clothing, toiletries and baby equipment. A growing family can present financial challenges, and the baby shower is our way of thanking our local military women and men for their service and sacrifice on behalf of all Americans.

The Quail Creek Veterans Golf Association provides opportunities for QC veterans to get together in golf and social settings as well as fundraising for local military and veteran causes. They have supported the TWOQC Baby Shower for the past three years and urge all Quail Creek residents to join them in supporting this great event.

To make a donation of baby clothing, disposable diapers, or baby items such as baby wash, wipes and pacifiers, place them in the box in the Madera Clubhouse lobby. To make a financial donation please contact Kathi Krieg, TWOQC Baby Shower Chair, at 520-625-5419 or [email protected]. Also, look for our “Bucks for Babies” tables at Madera Clubhouse events on Monday and Friday nights. We appreciate cash donations of any amount, from coins to bills. We don’t fear change—in fact, we love it!
