The QCLGA (18 hole club) held its annual Holiday Awards Luncheon on December 15.

Approximately 60 women showed up for the 8:00 a.m. shotgun where they played a pick your partner two member team scramble. Immediately after golf they proceeded to the Madera Clubhouse where they were treated to a delicious lunch provided by Eppi and her crew.

Gail Phillips, the outgoing president, thanked her board for a successful run and each of the attendees gave them a rousing standing ovation. Gail then handed the gavel over to the new President Chris Gould and she presented her new board members.

After all the thank yous, the awards began. Chris England was recognized again for Club Champion and presented the new trophy. Tommy Reid was announced as the most improved player of the year and Carol Hocking won the most holes-in-one. Karen Stensrud won the most birdies, Dianne Turner the most chip-ins and the overall low gross ringer winner was Justine Lewis. Dianne Turner won the most overall low net ringers. Prizes were given and pictures were taken of birdie flight winners, chip-in flight winners and six ringers flight winners.

A fantastic job by Karen Conner and Laura Colbert
