The QCLGA held its annual Holiday and Awards Luncheon on December 19. Sherry Morris was instrumental in making the room festive with Christmas tree lights and silver wrapped packages.

President Rose Welliver began the meeting with thank yous to her board members and a very special thank you to Ken Haley, our resident photographer. Cathy Nelms gave a summary of the AWGA goals for the coming year and presented Bonny Wilcox and Sherry Morris as the two qualifying members to represent our club in the State Medallion Tournament in January.

Nancy Hoppe, handicap chairman, presented Dreama Fumia as the most improved player of the year and Francie Walker, web chairman, thanked her committee for their hard work throughout the year.

Karen Stensrud, chairman of Birdies, Chip-ins and Ringers presented cash awards including overall low gross and low net ringer scores for first through fifth place in each of the four flights. Among the many winners were Barbara Erickson, Justine Lewis, Laura Colbert and Sherry Morris for their eagles. Karen Stensrud won for the most birdies, Alice Dyke for the most chip-ins and Karen and Bessie Moretto for the overall low gross and net ringers of the year.

It was a fun and festive event for all and the club wishes to thank Eppi and her crew for a job well done at the Madera Clubhouse.
