In Passing – Betty Jean Towle

Betty Jean Towle, 74, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2013. Betty was born on February 14, 1939, in Anaheim, California. Betty was owner and editor of the Rancho Penasquitos News in San Diego, California. She then was employed at NCR, as an executive administrative assistant in San Diego, California.

Betty held the title of Miss Anaheim in 1957. She loved to play the piano, travel and had a love for being by the ocean. Betty will always be remembered for her contagious smile, her willingness to do what was loving and her commitment to always do what was right for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence, brother Gary Corn, step children James of Chandler, Arizona, and Cyndie of Littleton, Colorado. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family sends our thanks and gratitude to all of the loving and compassionate care given by the doctors, nurses and caregivers over the years of Betty’s illness.

A celebration of Betty’s life for family and friends was held on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Quail Creek Madera Clubhouse.
