MOAA dinner slated for September 20

The Green Valley Chapter Military Officers Association will kick off its fall season with a dinner on Wednesday, September 20 in the ballroom. Cocktails and wine will be available for purchase starting at 5:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.

A mixed greens salad with assorted accompaniments with Ranch and Raspberry Vin dressing will start out the meal. The entrée menu will feature a choice of roasted pork medallions with apple brandy demi glaze or chicken parmesan with marinara and mozzarella. Finishing off the meal will be a bowl of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and wafer. Cost for the meal is $26.

All officers and warrant officers, currently serving, retired or former are invited to join the group. The Green Valley Chapter is about the most active in the state of Arizona. Each year they provide three scholarships to JROTC seniors, Food for the Troops and Turkeys for the Troops of the 162nd Fighter Wing, Air National Guard. They support the homeless and hospitalized veterans on a continuing basis with donations of toiletries, books and snack foods.
