The annual Green Valley Chapter Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) Mix and Mingle will be held on Thursday, March 22 from 4:30-6:30 in Crystal Ballroom No. 1. The purpose of the event is to introduce officers and warrant officers, active duty, former and retired and their spouses or significant others to the many programs and projects sponsored by the Chapter, one of the most active in the state of Arizona.

One of the highlights of the evening will be MOAA Jeopardy featuring the Chapter’s very own Alex Trebec. The winners will take home some non-cash prizes. The event will also feature a silent auction to raise funds for Chapter activities.

Hors d’oeuvres will be provided and there will be a cash bar. Cost is $10. Reservations may be made by contacting Barbara Brown at 520-625-8066. Deadline to sign up is March 15.

Those who would like more information about MOAA are asked to contact Membership Chair Joe Longo at 509-945-4993. For more information on the local Chapter, please visit www.greenvalleymoaa.org.

There is still time to sign up for the chili bar luncheon scheduled in the Ballroom for February 27 starting at noon. Doors will open for a period of socializing at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $20 with all proceeds going to Therapeutic Riding of Tucson, an organization that provides no-cost riding programs for veterans who are victims of PTSD or suffer from physical wounds.
