SIMON DAVIS

961 N. Gulch Drive, Quail Creek; I can be reached at [email protected].

I first came to the Green Valley/Sahuarita area in 1986 to work as a firefighter. I worked up the ranks becoming Fire Chief of the Green Valley Fire District in 1996 and retired this July. Throughout my career in emergency services I’ve been a firefighter, certified paramedic, fire instructor trainer as well as holding numerous professional certifications and am a graduate of the National Fire Academy.

I feel that I can bring a unique perspective to the Board based on my involvement in public service in this community for the past 28 years. I have the institutional, managerial and political knowledge to assist in addressing the inevitable challenges that the community of Quail Creek will face moving forward. My goal is to ensure that the continued safety, security and great neighborhood atmosphere endures so we can all continue to enjoy living here.

On the personal side, I was born in the southwest of England, grew up in southern Africa and came out to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. My wife Shirlei, who is a Tucson native, and I moved into Quail Creek nine years ago.

GIL LUSK

POA Board Member 2008 to 2014; Sahuarita Town Council 2012 to 2016; Seeking a fourth term on the POA Board 2015 to 2017.

My life since 1962 has been about public and community service, first in the National Park Service for 35 years and then in Arizona since 1997. An alumni of Gettysburg College, I was honored with an Honorary PhD in 2001 for my accomplishments in and commitment to public service. Since 2008 I believe that my work at Quail Creek has yielded positive results in many areas and I would dearly love to continue that work for another two years. Just a few of those things include the introduction of Bingo, Do You Know?, Discover Quail Creek, Committee work and creation of committees, facilitating movement of eleven clubs into the new Art and Tech Center, Chair of the ALC, fourth year of the Quail Creek Seminar, the annual vehicle sale at Garage Sale time and now am working on extending Quail Crossing Boulevard over to Walmart. I hope to have your support in the election and simply promise to continue working as hard as ever to improve our community and lifestyle.
