JoAnn Haberer

On Monday, February 26, The Women of Quail Creek will host Shannon Stone, Director of the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park and Museum at 10:00 a.m. in the Madera Clubhouse Ballroom. She will present an informative program on the exciting history of the Presidio and what there is to see and do while visiting. The Historic Park is housed on eleven acres, and includes three historical buildings, a museum, and a display of the foundation of the original Presidio built in 1752. It is the first European settlement established by the Spanish in Arizona. Arizona’s first printing press is on display, along with the world’s only fully restored ambulance wagon. Come learn about the diverse and rich history that is on display the Tubac Presidio! TWOQC members and first-time guests are welcome to attend.

This program is a prelude to this year’s TWOQC field trip to Tubac and Tumacácori on March 26.
