Lady Putters welcome new members

Peggy McGee

Unless rain or snow precludes their being on the putting green, the Lady Putters meet throughout the year for camaraderie, to sharpen their putting skills and get a little exercise bending down to pick up their balls. Dues are $15 a year and there is a weekly putting fee of $1. The dues cover the greens fee while the weekly charge is used to pay Money Hole Winners and buy the gift cards for those who attend luncheons and putt the required number of times for each period, usually four out of six. The balance goes into the Putters’ treasury for special events and to support local charities.

Interested ladies can give Putters a try twice before making a commitment to join. No sign-up is required. Just show up every Wednesday by 9:30 a.m. to check in. Please bring a putter and one golf ball.
