Members of the Quail Creek Lady Putters are already thinking about Christmas, Christmas in July that is, to help the Green Valley Food Bank. They especially like to assist the less fortunate during the summer when donations to the Food Bank take a nose dive when so many leave the area to beat the heat.

Since summer means that many of the children who get breakfast and lunch at school will be at home and need to be fed, the Lady Putters are asked to bring items that kids prefer-—juice packs, dried fruit, peanut butter, cereal—-to the brunch on Wednesday, July 12. Other items needed include cleaning, paper, grooming and hygiene products.

Those who prefer not to shop may also support the Food Bank during the Christmas in July drive by bringing cash or checks payable to Green Valley Community Food Bank to the July 12 putting event. Forms will also be available for credit card donations.

Ladies are encouraged to wear holiday colors or jewelry to Putters that day.
