In tribute to veterans who died in combat as well as those who died of natural causes after serving our country, the Lady Putters came to putting dressed in patriotic garb for their putting event closest to Memorial Day. Almost all the ladies had on some form of red, white and blue with some wearing all three colors. Many also wore patriotic jewelry.

The Lady Putters is open to all female residents of Quail Creek, whether homeowners or renters. The group meets at 8:30 a.m. every Wednesday throughout the year. Check-in time for the summer season starts at 8:00 a.m. Annual dues are $15 or $25 if one wishes to buy a blue Quail Creek visor. There is a $1 weekly fee for the putting green. Interested ladies are invited to try out the group twice before making a commitment. Most decide to join well before reaching the 18th hole on their first time out.
