On Super Bowl Sunday Debbie Huber claimed the Super Roll VII championship by edging out Rick Kimes 34 to 33 in a high scoring, trash talking, back and forth Super Roll final. Debbie claimed she was going to get her name engraved on the Super Roll trophy early in the day with victories over Ray Hebert, Linda Matsen, Diana Soderberg and Jim Hart. Debbie also picked up $20.00 and the Black Championship Towel for her efforts.

Also in the money were Division Champions Dreama Fumia and Jim Hart, and Conference Champion Rick Kimes.

This was the seventh year for Lance and Diane Manning hosting the Super Bowl/Super Roll party. Many of the attending 15 Quail Creek couples have been part of the festivities since its inception. The games start with ticket sales at the main gate which include picking numbers for the quarterly scores, tailgating appetizers, open bar, door prizes and the Super Roll stadium dice game followed by dinner and desserts.

Winners in the Super Bowl scoring pool included Diana Soderberg, John Soderberg, Skip Fumia and last year’s Super Roll Champion Jack Matsen.

Debbie’s Super Roll VII victory broke a three year dominance by the men. The ladies have now won three titles and the men four. Next year’s Super Roll VIII may even the gender gap. v
