The Quail Creek Men’s Nine Hole Golf Club (Desert Duffers) held its tenth annual overnight Casa Grande golf outing on May 10 and 11 with those attending all enjoying meeting new friends and golfing as our motto states: “Golf is a Game – Have Fun.”

This is an 18 hole event playing two different courses where the individual foursomes chose the type of game they want to play among themselves. This year they played the Dave White Golf Course in Casa Grande where Ron Courson scored a hole-in-one. The second day they played at the Francisco Grande Golf Course in Casa Grande.

The overnight stay was also at the Francisco Grande golf course and Resort where in the afternoon of the first day Ron Courson was able to celebrate his hole-in-one milestone by hosting refreshments for the duffers in the resort lounge. Dinner and breakfast at the resort dining room were also included in the golf package and the meals were excellent.

A special large thank you goes to Bill Trefethen who, with his hard work, made this event possible.

The Desert Duffers golf on Tuesday mornings. For more information contact our Membership Chairman Bill Albert at 393-1315.
