Creating a personal website

How easy or difficult would it be to create a personal website? Come to the Computer Club’s meeting on Monday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ballroom to hear Vicki Sullivan describe her experiences with developing two websites in her presentation, Your Very Own Website.

Like many Quail Creek residents she is not a programmer but, also like many, she was determined to find an easy solution.

She’ll cover some of the things to consider in deciding on a web provider. Hear about her first attempt, why she thinks she was unsuccessful and the methodology for making another choice out of many options. She’ll share her sites with us and point out what makes this particular provider a good vendor for her needs.

In the spring Vicki is planning to offer a Computer Club class, Website Development without the Hassle.

All residents are invited to attend the program. In order to take Vicki’s class in the spring, membership in the club is required. Information on joining the club is available at club meetings. Dues are still only $20 for one member and $30 for two family members for a calendar year. See a calendar of classes and one on one Help Clinics at the club’s website: quailcreekcomputerclub.org.
