The organizational committee for the 2013 Home and Garden Tour, in conjunction with our five wonderful homes and homeowners, was thrilled that we would be able to donate $5000 to the Community Foundation of Greater Green Valley as the proceeds of this year’s tour. This foundation serves communities from Tubac north to Sahuarita and makes annual grants to nonprofits through an application and approval process. These grants provide services and assists to the clients of these nonprofits that might otherwise not be met.

The Home and Garden Tour of Quail Creek has, since its first tour, donated to this foundation because of the diverse disbursement of its available funds. We are thrilled to have donated a total of $16,000 to the many worthy nonprofits in this geographical service area. From community gardens to animal rescue and care, from food services to educational work, from services for the abused to planned summer programs for out of school children and from EMT training to counseling services, this foundation has supported it all. We are proud that our 28 homeowners over the course of the five years of this project have provided us the visuals to make this donation possible.

Thank you, Quail Creek!
