On May 18 the Quail Creek Fights Back Relay for Life team and the Touched by Cancer Support Group hosted a Bon Voyage to Cancer event at Madera Clubhouse. The American Cancer Society will receive over $7,000 from dollars raised from the event and by sponsors: Acra Construction, Windows of Greater Tucson, Golf Cars of AZ, Glass Monkey, Inc, Sunsation Cruises, Green Velvet, Life Vibes, Bill’s Home Service, Larry Steer, Cayley Cakes, Bon Voyage Travel, Rose Welliver and Friends and Mary Lehman in memory of Joe Lehman. Cruise passengers enjoyed gambling at the craps and blackjack tables to win tickets for raffle prizes that had been generously donated by Quail Creek residents and local businesses. Gene and Donna Green donated their special Green Velvet music for listening and dancing. Quail Creek Crafters sold jewelry, scarves and paintings to add to the cruise experience. The silent auction brought a challenge to those who were trying to win the bid for special auction items. Cruise passengers enjoyed the chocolate fountain and dessert bar along with a specialty cruise drink.

The Relay for Life team and Support Group thank all who generously helped our relay team reach over $13,000 of their $15,000 relay goal.
