Each month the Fine Art Club chooses one member to be featured as the Artist of the Month. Along with the honor of being chosen, the Artist’s work is featured in the window display outside the Art Studio in the CATC building.

Joyce Finn is the Artist of the month for March. She has been teaching art for over 30 years and has taught both acrylic and water color classes in Quail Creek. She studied at the London School of Art and holds an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s Degree in Art History. Before retiring to Quail Creek Joyce worked as an instructor at Cal State Fullerton and at U.C. Riverside. She has won many awards at local art shows in southern California and was awarded the prestigious Grumbacher Award.

Joyce says she enjoys painting and loves to get to know her students. Her choice of subjects is varied. Since moving to the Southwest she finds that she likes painting the desert landscape and the wild life that live there.

Many of the pieces displayed in the window are for sale. Fine Art Club members who serve as monitors are available to help you with your purchase Monday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to noon and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
