“A Wee Bit of Ireland” is the theme for TWOQC summer luncheon June 24

TWOQC will host their summer luncheon A Wee Bit of Ireland on June 24 at the Madera Clubhouse. A no host bar will open at 11:30 a.m., followed by a short business meeting at 12:15 p.m. and lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Tir Conaill Academy of Irish step dancing will provide the entertainment. A group of very talented dancers will wear their elaborate costumes and perform their competition dances. The students compete throughout the United States and several of them have qualified to dance at this year’s World Irish Dance Competition.

You will need a reservation to attend and if you would like to sit with friends you must purchase your tickets at the same time. The reservation deadline is June 17. Tickets may be purchased on June 3 and June 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Madera Clubhouse.

All members and women guests who have not previously attended TWOQC function as well as all Quail Creek women interested in joining TWOQC are invited to attend.

Donations for the August 10 baby shower for expectant and new military parents may be brought to the luncheon. This year’s theme is Teddy Bear’s Picnic so teddy bear toys or baby clothing and items with a bear theme are appropriate. Purchased or homemade items, monetary donations and tissue paper, wrapping paper and extra large gift bags are all appreciated items. After the meeting there will be a baby shower collection container at the Madera Clubhouse starting June 3. Please leave monetary donations at the clubhouse concierge’s desk.

A container for grocery donations for the National Guard units in Tucson will be available at the luncheon. The grocery items are collected as part of the annual Quail Creek Fourth of July celebration which honors and supports local military units.
